Our first time ever Blogging

Eva and I are sitting here, with the wood stove burning, Fraser napping, Anais at school and Dad at work in the rain. We have at least an hour or two of "two of us time"....which rarely happens...ever. It is so quiet in our house which also rarely happens ever. Of course, the washing machine is a give in...it never stops. I swear we probably do on average, maybe 15 loads of laundry a week. No kidding. It's just crazy... hence the name of this blog. Who would have imagined that Jessica Banford would be where I am right now....and how did it happen. ( Eva will not stop bugging me right now...and it's driving me bonkers....grrr. The house was silent until Eva decided to stop coloring and come giggle and laugh right in my face without letting up).
I'll go through the whole story of how we met and ended up where we are another day but for now, I'll give you all a quick synopses of my life as it is right at this moment. I am married, for one year, to Curtis. A now 34 year old tree faller with two daughters from his previous marriage, Anais and Eva. We have custody of the girls 5 days a week and I've been lucky enough to be a big part of their lives for the past 4 years, they are now 5 and 7. The two years ago Fraser came along, Our boy, who was born on Nov 7, 2007. He just turned 2. So, now we are in the thick of kid world, responsibilities etc etc. We also have 2 dogs which alone are a handful.
Anyways, I have been perusing over Lisa and Brook's blogs and thought, hey, I should get into this. For me, it sounds like a good way to relax and get all my thoughts out and into writing. I don't have a lot of close friends and I don't have a lot of people to share my stories, frustrations, triumphs with. So I thought this would be a good way to get it all out and maybe someone might be going through the same sort of craziness that I am and can share these moments with me.
I will say goodbye for now. I've got dishes to do, ribs to boil, laundry to fold, lunch to make, and then in an hour I am hoping Fraser will wake up and we're all off to soccer practice. Somehow I got fenangled into coaching...and i don't even know how to play. Yikes.

  4. ha ha, i just noticed you in the "followers" section of our blog. welcome to the club. ;-P it can be hard to keep up w/ writing a blog (as i'm sure you know as your first and only post is months old.) but it's worth it. we started ours at the end of 2004 and it's really fun to look back and remember what's happened since then. good luck!
